Soul food is an essential part of Black history in the United States, and it has been passed down through generations, providing a source of comfort and tradition to many families. Now, however, a virtual cooking class will be taking place that celebrates the classic flavors of soul food cuisine while offering healthier alternatives.
This special event is meant to honor Black history and culture by exploring the rich history behind beloved soul food dishes in a new light. In addition to learning about their roots, participants will have the opportunity to learn how to make health-conscious versions of traditional favorites like Sautéed Collards w/Tomatoes & Onions or fried chicken. With this unique virtual cooking experience, people are being given an exciting way to celebrate their heritage and enjoy delicious meals that are better for their overall well-being.
